It's been a while since my last post. I need to get better at making these a regular occurrence. I'll add this to my "things to work on" list.
My husband and I brought home this beauty in early June and we are very happy with this decision. This is Sassy or Sassafras as we call her. She is 15 weeks. This cockapoo is definitely sassy. She took well to her crate from day one and is well on her way to being house trained. She is afraid of loud noises like traffic, big dog barks, lawnmowers, vacuums, and leaf blowers. Fortunately we recognize this and are taking steps to help her process this new world.

We start puppy classes this weekend and we are looking forward to them. She already knows how to sit and gives her paw. She is smart and stubborn all at once. It should make for an interesting first year of training.
I hope to eventually get her into agility training. I feel this will put her energy to good use. My main goal is to build up her tolerance to traffic so I can take her on walks with me. We've been doing short walks to the busy road and back. I bring treats to reward her calmness and it seems to be working.
Hopefully I will have more to report on this front soon. Until then stay safe, healthy and be kind to each other.
